Free Central Heating in Norfolk.
In January 2020 grant funding for free central heating was made available under the Governments Energy Company Obligation scheme. First time central heating grants for Norfolk are available now from the government as part of their energy efficiency scheme. This is available for both Homeowners and Private Tenants.

Flexible Eligibility
You do not need to be in receipt of benefits to qualify for free home insulation in Norfolk.

A new part of the scheme called ‘flexible eligibility’ enables local authorities to set targets for energy suppliers to help fund the installation of energy-efficiency measures in qualifying households.
You can apply for support if you live in a property that is expensive to heat, or if you or somebody living with you are vulnerable to cold.
Qualifying criteria include:
- Someone in your home receives a qualifying benefit
- Household is on a low income.
- Your property has an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of E,F or G, or provides a qualifying score through our assessment
- You or somebody living in your property have a health condition that can be exacerbated by the cold
- You or somebody living in your property are pregnant or have a child aged under 5 or somebody living in your property are aged over 65

If you have no heating system or a system that doesn’t have a boiler and radiators then your home will be eligible for the grant and free central heating in Cambridgeshire.
What Are The Benefits Central Heating?
Free Central heating is cheaper to run saving you money on your heating bills. It is far more controllable, all of our central heating systems are installed with a full set of controls. This means that you can control the temperature in each room independently. You can set the heating to come on and switch off as you need so that you are not heating your home when you are not there. If you have a combination boiler you are not heating a tank full of water that you may not use.

Insulation and Gas Connection
One requirement for your new central heating system is that your home is properly insulated. This only applies to cavity wall insulation, loft insulation and room in roof/attic room insulation. As part of your free survey we will check the levels of insulation in your home and if needed we will arrange for this to be upgraded free of charge.
We will also arrange for a new gas connection to your home free of charge so you will soon be warmer and saving money.
